{"id":103,"date":"2019-01-30T17:40:33","date_gmt":"2019-01-30T17:40:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fatherbasil.com\/blog\/?p=103"},"modified":"2019-01-30T17:40:35","modified_gmt":"2019-01-30T17:40:35","slug":"a-healing-faith","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fatherbasil.com\/blog\/2019\/01\/30\/a-healing-faith\/","title":{"rendered":"A Healing Faith"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>A Healing Faith &#8211; January 30th, 2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is a stark difference between the Christianity that certain Protestant pundits uphold, and that of the Orthodox faith. They see and treat the Christian faith a Juridical terms, and treat it more so a moral code that must be upheld.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is not, and never has been the patristic treatment or view of the Christian faith.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Church is the Hospital for our very souls, and her doctrines and theology a therapeutic science working towards that end. We see our faith in a divine medicine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As the priests &#8211; the pastors of the Church &#8211; are responsible for those under them, there is a reason that we do not have open communion.
